Title: Team Lead, US Mineral Land Administration

Reporting to the Manager, Land Administration, this full-time permanent role will be responsible for assigned duties including, but not limited to:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze acquired interests in order to accurately set up ownership records
  • Review Division Orders, calculate and verify NRI’s
  • Review and verify interest in Poolings, Production Sharing Agreements and Overriding Royalty Agreements
  • Verify deed ownership and issue oil and gas leases
  • Analyze land and well information to satisfy Accounting queries to ensure accurate royalty payments
  • Analyze wells and unit wells to determine leases that need to be cross-referenced to the well and/or unit
  • Research complicated contract, lease, deed and land owner issues, and communicate results internally and pursue resolution with Operators as required
  • Serve as subject matter expert, providing mentorship and advice on above responsibilities to other team members

Skills, Education and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in mineral management of Texas assets
  • A CPLTA or CDOA designation would be an asset, with a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience
  • Experience with MineralSoft and DrillingInfo is an asset
  • Strong understanding of mineral conveyances and ability to calculate fractional ownership based on language in deeds
  • Experience reading well plats and surveys, particularly in Texas
  • Experience with deed registration and curative matters
  • Solid understanding of state statutes as they apply to leasing and conveyancing, poolings and well spacing
  • Strong understanding of mineral land administration with particular experience with conveyances and legal concepts related to mineral ownership and leasing

  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Excellent attention to detail

Terms of Employment: Full-time Permanent

Language of Work: English

Wage: $90,000 – $130,000 annually

  • Be provided with a Rife computer or laptop when working in the office
